Stephen King Responds To ‘It’ Remake Being Cancelled

Only a couple of days ago, everyone learned the shocking news that the New Line Cinema remake of It was going to possibly be cancelled. As we all know, It is an adaptation of the Stephen King novel of the same name.

Even though It may never see the light of day, Stephen King shared a perfect response, which will certainly put a smile on your faces. King took to Twitter with this tweet:

The remake of IT may be dead–or undead–but we’ll always have Tim Curry. He’s still floating down in the sewers of Derry.

The original plan for the It remake was to actually have two films — one would focus on the protagonists when they were children, and the other would focus on them as adults.

So, why was the It remake cancelled? Apparently, some of the budget cuts wasn’t sitting well with some of the cast and crew. Also, the Poltergeist remake, which hasn’t been that successful in theaters, used the image of a clown in their marketing campaign, which is supposedly another reason why the It remake has, thus far, been cancelled.
