Hey everyone, Steven A.K.A. Bojangles here bringing you some of the hottest horror news of today.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve undoubtedly seen the trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘The Visit‘ all over the television, as they’ve been promoting the hell out of this movie. If you haven’t seen the trailer, you can check it out below:
Now, I’ll have to admit that this trailer has caught my attention. I mean, the concept for this is just so out of the ordinary for today’s standards — especially since this flick appears to somewhat take itself seriously. However, there’s just one thing that really worried me about this Hansel and Gretel-like tell of terror…. M. Night Shyamalan.
I remember at one point in time this guy’s named attached to anything was considered a good thing, but that was a very long time ago. This guy has seemingly churned out flop-after-flop and I’m hoping that ‘The Visit,’ won’t be the next. After all, this actually looks like it could be a fun little flick to watch.
Unfortunately, another thing that’s worrying me is the fact that this film is going to be found footage, and I really don’t understand why. I mean, I don’t see how this story could really benefit from that type of film style, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Who knows, maybe M. Night Shyamalan has something up his sleeve, and this could be his big comeback.
Below, you’ll find the new pictures from M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘The Visit.’
What do you think?
So, what do you all think about ‘The Visit?’ Is this going to be another M. Night Shyamalan flop, or do you actually think this could be his big comeback film?
The trailer builds the case for complete Grandparent spookiness. I hope the full film delivers the scares. M. Night always appears to garner negative criticism – not all his films are successes nor compelling cinema, but I’m looking forward to him finding his niche. Perhaps it’s horror?
