There is a restaurant locally that is said to be haunted. Years ago (10?) the place was robbed. All of the workers were put into the large, walk-in freezer. I'm not sure exactly how, but all of them were killed. Since then, no business they had tried to open there has lasted very long. A year at the most. Could this be the work of a unhappy spirit?

Regardless, it's a interesting place.

Is there anywhere haunted in your hometown?

The Restaurant my parents owned, and I ran was haunted, and we were only open for 6 months. Upstairs in the large dinning room was the ghost of Elias Ruff, whom the Restaurant/house belonged to, I've seen him.
Also an abandon house down the street from my parents house, every time I was there it felt like I was being watched.
I found a haunted field. Hell Rose, you've been there! Everyone else check my Post: A True Ghost Story, by MESmile LokiZeeSmile
There was an old abandoned farm house close to where we lived. We would sneak down there as kids, of course, and dare each other to go in. There was a strange string of animal killings about the same time the we found a satan worship setup in the house. It was the strangest thing. So, we went & I told my mom, who didn't believe me. Finally, we got her to drive down to the house, figuring she wouldn't want to tramp through the woods & climb under a fence. The cops were called & everything taken out. Items included: satanic 'bible', daggers, chalices, pentagram made with bricks, wooden box, candles. It was always creepy as hell down there & only became more so after that.

Not really a haunted story, more creepy.
There is a place a little ways from here that is said to be totally Haunted. I haven't been there but my Uncle was taken there by someone to do a reading, and he ended up meeting the guys from TAPS (The show Ghost Hunters) and they apparently got proof.
I think I heard somewhere the Louisiana Superdome was built on a grave yard or some such tainted land.

As far as other ghost haunts there are too much to mention - New Orleana Ghosts is just one book that is a great resource, The book has even been used for several ghost tours and has addresses for the locations! :reading:
That's Creepy... But yea my house I'm living in is haunted...
I've heard ghosts curse at me, and like punch the walls beside of me, and I've even seen some shadowy figures... :reddisgust:

VERY COOL.
hey Friday - do you live in the south?

not asking for an address but seems to me some of the strongest findings occur in that general direction
