I went looking for this info when I watched Salem's Lot and was led to IT... But besides those (Which were actually TV miniseries!), what is the longest horror movie?? In my experience you can really rarely find one even 2 hours long (Saw III director's cut immediately comes to mind... but that's not really horror IMO). Anything stand out for you guys?

Stephen King's "The Stand" runs for 8 hours. Sure, it's a mini-series, but it's one complete story. Grindhouse, though properly 2 films, is 3 hours and 5 minutes. The Green Mile is one complete movie, not a mini-series, and runs for 3 hours and 7 minutes. MOH: Dance of the Dead ran for one hour and felt like infinity.

Yeah a lotta King stuff there, and as you said mostly TV stuff too >.> . Green Mile I don't really see as horror.... Grindhouse I'd say could count as a contender, I honestly think it sucks that it was split!
Still, your posting alone made me think of the biiiiiiiig duh here: Dawn of the Dead. Still not like 3 hours, but a good contender!

Dawn 78 is my favorite movie ever, but both versions run less than 2 hours. 78 could have ran 24 hours and it would have been AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard one version ran 150 minutes, 2 and a half hours... >.>
wow...you folks continue to inspire me on such knowledge

The cut of Dario Argento's Deep Red I have is 126 minutes I'm fairly sure... I honestly prefer the cut-version though, some unnecessary and sometimes even ridiculous things are cut (One thing I DON'T like though, they cut out the "final paint-crack" part).
