The sequel to the 2005 horror film The Descent has been officially titled The Descent: Part 2 and will be released in the U.S. in 2009, according to a report. The first film, directed by Neil Marshall, followed a group of six women on a spelunking trip through an underground cave inhabited by hostile humanoid creatures. Jon Harris takes over from Marshall as director of the sequel, which picks up where the first film left off.
