(Sadly this film is hated and it's not even out yet...)
(To be updated)

No official plot yet,
but the original told the story of a teenage genre fan,
who suspects his neighbor is a vampire.
He enlists the help of his friends and a television host/vampire slayer
to discover the truth and put a stop to the bloodsucker and his minions.

(The film is only "In Talks")

- It's said that the studio plans to keep the comedy-horror tone, while modernizing the effects.
- It's rumored that this film may be in 3-D.
- Dreamworks recently purchased the remake rights.
- The obvious remake of the classic 1985 Tom Holland film.
I do think a remake could be done by caring people, but I just don't believe they're likely to focus on the real flaws and instead just try modernizing stuff... (They talk about "modernizing the effects" as if that was the big problem, when in fact the effects work in the original was pretty much amazing.)
I agree. I myself personally love the old affects against the gay CGI used now days!
I mean for instance in Evil Dead! I loved the Clay animation type look and feel.
Back then stuff was more creative and such.

And I don't care what the fuck they said, it DID look real! Sure the new stuff has more realistic detail, but 99% of the time it is totally obvious it isn't made of solid stuff... It don't move right either.

I agree. Now shit is to computerized!
I mean atleast back then the objects were technically "real" lol.
But I will admit I don't hate Remakes, and I'm kind of excited to atleast see what they can bring to the screen.
I have to say I truly, truly hope they do this one as well as, if not better than the original... (They'd have to keep the characters about the same at least at the core, maybe deepen and darken them though, they were pwnage) Still, I will definitely miss the effects, some of the best I'd seen when I first got into horror V_V
Same here, I hope they don't make it to CGI enhanced lol.
But I did love me some Chris Sarandon! Confusedexdev:
