Yeah...I'm a big NOES fan and it looks kind of like Freddy was innocent. That's just not the case! Some good homage scenes there to classic NOES, but I'm also looking forward to something new. Then again, I was thoroughly disappointed with Friday the 13th. Jackie Earl Haley has an amazing screen presence, but I don't know about that makeup...
There's just no pleasing me! :reddisgust:

1st thing - The fucking soundtrack sucks, Mr. Bay, the soundtracks you commission suck
2nd thing - The direction I see started decent but got too "xtreme," as did the acting (It never feels like the teenagers make a truly serious effort to look scared in these new movies... o.O)
3rd - Jackie seems to be taking things in a slimier direction, which could be allright in a Rob Zombie's Halloween kind of way. Mixed feelings on the new makeup, but I think the new glove is pretty cool aside from the cheezy spark FX
4th - Some dreamy looking scenes, but not enough (One aspect they actually could have improved on IMO)

Freddy is maybe innocent in this one? Uhhhh, don't know if I like that. And I have a feeling that the sick sense of humor that the old Fred had is going out the broiler door. Don't know if I like this quite yet.

True Loki, maybe your right on that.

Now don't jump the gun; the filmmakers said there was an element of Fred maybe being innocent, and I don't think they could actually pull that off and make a seriously scary film... Personally my money's on Fred just trying to save his damned skin in the beginning

Just said that I don't know if I like this yet as in I'm going to the theater and watching it, and then I'll kow if I like it.

I think it looks like it has a lot of potential. I can't wait to see it.
And how refreshing to read an entire thread without anyone mentioning "the voice sucks at the end!" even once. I see that all over the Internet, and I'm so sick of hearing it . . . I think it sounds great: lecherous and realistic, in regards to what someone might sound like if they'd been burned beyond recognition.

I haven't seen the originals yet, but the trailer looks pretty decent!
