It's not even truly worth restating Jigsaw's one-shot phrase from the weak-link Saw V "when you're good at anticipating the human mind, it leaves nothing to chance"... everyone who's seen the films knows John has backup plans for his backup plans, and so on...

But this seems to not be such a concern for many other horror villains... or is it? It seems much of the time that fellas such as Jason or Michael don't have much rhyme to their reason, though the fact that they take so long stalking their prey and never seem to give their victims much time to get the upper-hand hints otherwise... If anything it seems the "talkers" like Freddy or Chucky have the most reckless plans as often they don't have the patience to fully-utilize their particular abilities, though they do often have general battle-plans of their own.

There are some boogeymen who undoubtedly spend most of their time planning shit (The Strangers, fellows from Captivity), and there are indeed others who treat their compulsions as... well, compulsions to be expressed (Alan Feinstone from The Dentist, mutilating people in pretty damn easy to find places) Tongue ...Anyone come to mind for psychos with horribly devious, or just plain horrible plans?
You gotta love how smart SAW is!
