Gaumont! Vous êtes encore vivant!
This sounds like a greatly creepy film, and it takes a special kind of horror sci-fi to pull that off
No offense but I think it sounds retarded,
but hey I posted it because it is upcoming horror lol!
I like the idea myself, it's got an angle not as used as many (A couple actually starting the trouble together instead of just one person with a "mystery spouse"), plus (If they have the chutzpah to use practical FX) it has the potential to have some very creative monsters; not just werewolves, vampires and all that, whole chimera-men as well! o.O
It's going to suck if this just turns out with a couple who's too in love to have anything really bad happen to either of them, hunted by like one guy who's crossed with a crocodile or something... otherwise I think it has potential >.<
Bumped since this is actually getting released for the US now. I must say it looks hella promising. I usually don't go for theatrical releases, but since it looks like a good'n and my girlfriend thinks so too, I def. wanna see this one on opening day.
Even though it does seem to be only one creature getting "spliced," the creature looks to be a creepy little bitch who spirals out of control and gets creepy fast. The couple thankfully don't seem to be little Mr. and Mrs. Perfect. It could be a really tense film. The thing about the "Dren" creature sprouting wings seems a bit cheap but shouldn't spoil things.
Maybe the 2010s will be another solid decade for horror? :3
This movie looks really interesting, even though the subtext of it isn't so... sub. It looks like it could be good.
After seeing the previews for this movie, it looks like something I have no interest in; at all.

Why not? It doesn't look stupid or anything, plus it's an original story with a good amount of publicity.
I'm just not digging the looks of it. For some reason, it reminds me of Species. Either way, I'll probably see it, but I do not have any high hopes for it.
It does look a little like Species, which a lot of people were saying, but this could take an unexpected turn. I'm looking forward to it and as many times have proven... the trailer isn't always correct. I have to agree with Briggs, it looks original.
It just looks silly to me. I hope I'm wrong and it turns out to be bad ass.
I kind of want to see it...
Compared to the horror movies that are being dished out on the assembly line, we should be supporting anything that is remotely close to being original. Think about it, would your rather see Splice or a Platinum Dunes remake of Jaws or Alien?
i saw this on opening day; i really liked it.
It was touching, frightening, sad, captivating and moody. Something that lacks in today's modern studio made horror movies.

I really fucking wish I saw this. Hopefully it takes a bit shorter to get to DVD than The Collector did, because I'm damn tired of missing all the
good horror until months after it gets released...
Since we're starting off the 2010s with an apparently fairly good film, I'm really holding out hope that this will be a good decade for horror. Less glossy crap, less uninspired indie productions. I'm also thinking/hoping that
just maybe people are finally getting tired of remakes (or people are running out of ideas for remakes).
People are not going to get tired of remakes considering the generation of people going to see them. However, we can only hope that these indie movies and original horror flicks get distributed theatrically and not shelved like Trick 'r Treat. If studios learned to do that, maybe then we can break the remake chain.
