Three college students, Phil, Ed, and Henry take a road trip into Mexico for a week of drinking and carefree fun only to have Phil find himself a captive of a group of satanic Mexican drug smugglers who kill tourists and whom are looking for a group of new ones to prepare for a sacrifice.

Ed gas a crush on the bartender Valeria and the virgin Phil feels attracted by a young prostitute with a baby and decides to give a teddy bear to the child. However, he is abducted by the followers of Palo Myombe that are preparing a human sacrifice to get the Power of Nganga to become invisible while smuggling drugs.
This truly does sound lame. I almost bought it a few months back but I figured it was too expensive considering I wanted the other purchases much more.
They need a human sacrifice to get the power to become invisible in order to smuggle drugs?? If you've seen this Friday, please redeem the premise for me if possible >.<

It's a true story-1988 Mark Kilroy was murdered by
that drug cult - the leader believed if he sacrificed an American his drug mules would be invisible to the border patrol. Adolfo de Jesus Costanza died in a shootout with the police-Sara Aldrete went to prison-as far as the rest I dont know.

I ve seen it -it's based on the Matamoros Cult Killings-in 1988 Mark Kilroy disapeared crossing the border during spring break. He was sacrificed by a Palo Mayombe cult-the leader-Adolfo Costanza believed the gods would reward him for sacrificing a "gringo" by making his drug smugglers invisible to the border guards. Costanza died in a shootout with the police; the high priestess of the cult Sara Maria Villareal Aldrete went to prison. I found the movie to be pretty close to the case up to a point -no movie can ever truly be exactly like the events.
And for a After Dark movie, it wasn't badly made. It was pretty damn good.
