A seven year old boy from Agra, India hung himself hoping to be saved just in time by TV-Hero Shaktimaan, the Indian version of Superman.

According to his friends he was convinced his hero was going to save him. His older brother got injured while jumping of a roof. He was convinced he could fly just like his hero.

The popular TV-Show Shaktimaan began in 2002. Since then several kids jumped of roofs because they thought they could fly. The father of the boy now demands that the show must be banned.

I agree...
But he was only 7.
then those kids should go to school and stop believing everything they see on tv
What he needed was a parent present....
Technically it wasn't suicide imo...
I mean he literally believed Superman could & would save him...

I agree...where the hell r the parents in India? I mean, I have nothing against indians, not at all...but still...u've gotta be wondering how that is possible, except, apparently, the over-charismatic indian superman or, whoever he is...

exactly...
I mean it can't be "literal" suicide..
I mean he is only 7 years old...
What he needed was a mother/father not superman...
To me it seems as if he needed more attention or he
wouldn't want Superman to save him.
