So I watch part 1,2,4, and 5 last night I want opinions on the franchise. I really like the original. 2 was alright. I really like 4. 5 was decent.6 has it moments but far from great. And h2o and resurrection are jus digraces. Ppl always say 4,5,6 are the worst and h2o was better cuz ignored those movies but without those we wouldn't have the same michael myers we all love those movies helped make who he is.
I liked 4,5 and 6 better than H20. Resurrection was absolutely terrible.
Resurrection was very terrible. 1 and 2 were great and I thought 4 and 5 were okay. Didn't like 6 that much. Even though people shit on 3, I loved it.

1 and 2 go without saying. I was hoping RZ's remake of H2 would mainly be in the hospital.
I liked 6 because Michael seemed way more brutal in that one, plus it's the last one with Donald Pleasence. He was the REAL Dr. Loomis.
This is true. Poor Loomis had to die.

Ppl don't like 3 cuz it dsnt have michael. And 6 was brutal but the story was so random and jus not good
Doesn't mean anything. Halloween 3 is still part of the franchise and the original Halloween premise was supposed to be an anthology of different stories. Hell, I think 3 was a very underrated film.
I never said 3 was bad I've only seen parts of it on cable and picked up the dvd jus a few months ago and havnt watched it yet.ill be sure to give it the proper viewing with open mind then.
i never even watch the last one, the first one is one of my fav films of all time.
The original is my all time fav too

Most people compare it to the original 2 in terms of filmmaking and what not, but you'd have to look at it knowing they are two different movies. I hope you enjoy it!!

I don't consider III as part of the series. I KNOW what the reason was for making it a different plot but considering they went right back to the original plot without stopping afterwards makes me kind of disregard it. That's not to say it's bad; personally, I think III is my second favorite if you do put it alongside the rest just for how original it was and how disturbing the plot was.
I also think I like H20 and Resurrection more than the others here (haven't seen any of 'em in a while

), and say 6(66) is probably my least favorite out of all of them. Sure Mike is brutal in it, but "brutal" doesn't really become him; Michael is more "cold/dispassionate" usually, plus what the others say about the plot rings true to me (I was OK with the Thorn idea to start with, but the way they pulled it off really didn't work too well >.<).
Halloween resurrection was a desperate attempt to squeeze more money out fans of michael myers.

That aside, IMO it was at least still more better-directed than "Curse"

Not really tbh I rather watch 6 then resurrection
Hahahaha!!! Don't like any of them.

ANY out of which ones? Sounds like you at least like the first 3

Part 5 starts out with her being in a hospital, she cant talk and she is "connected" to her uncle. She can see where he is etc etc. She eventually starts to talk again later in the film. But really basically the same ole thing. That is without spoiling it to much for you.
H5 also has a lot of random and unexplained scenes.
