According to the L.A. Times, Dimension Films and The Weinstein Co. have been in talks with writer Fernley Phillips who wrote the script for The Number 23, to write a script for a remake of John Landis classic An American Werewolf In London (1981)The L.A. Times reports that they plan to put a "Modern" take on the original.
A 'modern' take on the film huh? That's what it's been like for every fucking remake. Piece of shit won't hold a candle to Landis' movie. That's like remaking Animal House or better yet... The Birth of a Nation. (We can now look forward to these remakes coming soon to theaters near you)
How do you do a "modern" take? The original isn't exactly outdated.

Anyhow, I find "London" slightly overrated, but hardly warranting of a remake. Where do you go with it besides maybe making it longer?
Where do you go with it? Well, for starters you can grab the original off it's horror podium and force it through some sort of crude, scolding hot, painful, replicating machine then trash the original by kicking it around a few times and pissing on it. (don't forget lighting it on fire). Then take the replica, which is falling apart and molded together with wet Elmer's glue, and somehow praising it and calling it artwork. The rest... well... the rest will be unbearable.

Too many people have said this so I'll paraphrase, there is a 'modern' version of this movie. It's called An American Werewolf in Paris and it sucked. It sucked so much cock!
