To those asking: Yes, Hatchet II UNRATED has been pulled from US theaters. Press release coming tomorrow when we have the full details.
Fuck. that. bull. shit. Need to know full story of business owning public being pussies ABAP.
Disappointment. :reddisgust:
Hmmmm
Part of me wonders if this was a marketing stunt?
They pull it out of the theaters the following week of opening and then bring it back a few weeks later after "demand"...or knowing it was gonna go straight to video, allowing to play itg for a week and pulling it just antes up the DVD sales....
Things that make ya go hmmmmm....
I still say this bullshit.
Did u get to use ur free ticket Roc?
Nah man, I'm soo pissed I was suppose to go tomorrow.
Aw dooooode

I knoww, I missed a historical event. And I think your right with the publicity stunt idea.
I guess we'll find out with the press release...why was it pulled? It was unrated and AMC agreed to play it....done deal....I noticed there hasn't been any other chatter about it so, naturally I call Bullshit. Conspiracy! But whatever, it was a great flick.
U should email dread central a nice email that u missed out and see if they will throw u a bone. Maybe u can get something else? Worth a try...
...all because Victor Crowley taps that ass with an axe....

It wasn't all that. *shrugs*
Could have something to do with the fact that it only pulled in $62000 opening weekend. I think if I were AMC, I'd cut my losses and pull it too.

Good point.
However, there can only be one winner to this debate. Fight it out!
I'm a lover, not a fighter.
Besides, I'm right.
Could be a little of both: a planned retrograde from theaters in the event the movie tanked and a way to punch up DVD sales.
