Nerd alert. I stumbled across Joe Bob Briggs' Twitter a few days ago - which seems to be primarily Redneck Haiku. Lulz. Today, JBB began following me on Twitter. Two thoughts went through my head:

1: GEEEEEEEEEEK.
2: It's not really him.

Who else grew up with Monstervision and Trailer Park? Anyone? I credit Joe Bob with many of my early monster film introductions.

Nerd love.

I did not grow up with Monstervision but... I did catch a few episodes on rerun here and there.

I dont know how old you are or where you grew up, but when i was a kid Saturday nights we'd watch Sonny and Cher and then Chiller Theater with Chilly Billy Cardile-it was a local program out of Pittsburgh-Brilliant Oh is about 40 minutes southwest of Pittsburgh- this was in the early seventies.
As a kid I never was able to watch any of those programs. The ones I grew up with were Tales From The Crypt and Svengoolie. Those were the only horror programs that I watched that had a 'horror host.'

I grew up watching all kinds of horror movies-my parents liked that stuff too:grim: so I guess I come by it honestly!
