NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A high school math teacher has been put on administrative leave after having an apparent nervous breakdown in the classroom that was taped on a cell phone and is quickly becoming a YouTube sensation.

A McGavock High School math teacher was caught on video yelling at students and throwing furniture in a classroom Friday. The video, posted on YouTube, had been viewed hundreds of thousands of times as of Monday night.

Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools confirmed that 17-year teacher Brian Wood was removed from school and placed on leave. His sister, Leanne Smith, issued a statement Monday about the incident and his condition.

"Doctors at Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he has been since the incident, are currently working with Brian and our family to determine the cause," it said.

"I'm not a doctor, but what we saw was a little bit of a nervous breakdown," Principal Robbin Wall said. "I've never seen him be negative or even use profanity, so it was far out of his normal pattern."

Wall said Wood did not threaten any student nor put his hands on anyone.

Maybe this is it. I can't really tell because its going slow and my sound is messed up.
This looks staged and phony. Also, why did he get fired... he was totally being instigated.
Who knows, you know how kids are these days! :reddisgust::jail:
