Ive just been turned on to toetag productions....some of it is ok and some of it is true snuff like brutal gore....not for all eyes but its the shit i love. Murder collection is fantastic....i'm always looking for underground movies and if any of you are interested check them out

I have checked some of these out. I watched Sella Turcica for Camille Keaton. But I have given the August Underground films an airing. Torture and poop... who wouldn't?

haha i watched Sella Turcica two nights ago.....acting was bunk but the gore was cool.....just ordered the august underground......not sure how fucked up it'll be but after A Serbian Film i think i can handle anything

Too right! Its not as bad as A Serbian Film but it is pretty screwed up in other ways. I can watch AU with a sick fascination, where as watching A Serbian Film I just felt sick!

I've not seen three - just the first two. And I have to admit to watching some bizarre fare... :evilangel: I think I started with films like Salo and just went downhill from there.
I've not seen any of these yet. As far as the Serbian Film goes......no thanks

for me films like AU and torture porn for me its def the shock value, like a car accident
Horror is different for other people. Shock value is horror but if that's all a film relies on, than it means the writer/director is an incompetent storyteller who relies on gore, torture and mutilation to scare the audience. At least that's how I feel personally. To truly scare me, you'd have to build up an atmosphere, which is why Asian horror is so good.

As of the other evening I have now finally seen all of Toetag's pictures to date. I have to say whether you love them or hate them, Fred Vogel delivers exactly what you sign up for going in to watch them. This might not please some people and that's their prerogative. If you want to test your limits and give these a view it is a case of on your own head be it. However, that said, I did think The Redsin Tower was actually a pretty well done, creepy tale. Its the only spooky Toetag but I really think it would appeal to a much wider audience than the August Underground flicks, for example. Certianly it has an amount of gore, but not in the more sick vein overall, and the acting is of a better standard. I'd say its certainly worth at least a rental for fans of low budget horror executed well.

[COLOR="Red"]I've been a fan of ToeTag's work for a long time. They are based out of my hometown and I've had the chance to meet most of the main player's behind the scene's. Pretty cool people, they have had a few premieres here, Redsin Tower was the last one I went to.
Their work is really envelope pushing and their practical effects are top notch. I do think they could use a little more work in the story department, but they put together some really interesting films.[/COLOR]
