The Philadelphia Story (1940)
Naughty Marietta (1935) - it's a musical, not a porn.
To Catch a Thief (1955)
Airplane! (1980)
American Werewolf in London (1981)
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) I absolutely do not have to explain myself to any of you!
The Princess Bride (1987)
Rob Roy (1995)
The 13th Warrior (1999) - for it's supreme watchability if nothing else (not to mention the badass ensemble)
Silence of the Lambs (1995)
Poltergeist (1982)
The Lord of the Rings (as a collective - extended versions, of course)
Star Wars (IV, V, & VI as a collective) - though Empire was probably the best
The Goonies (1985) - is there really anything that could have made this movies better? LOL
Queen Margot (1994)

Ah yes, The Goonies, though not a perfect 10 in my book it ranks on my top childhood movies list along with Stand By Me, E.T. and The Sandlot.

More of my 10's:

The Last of the Mohicans (1992) - Magwa will put you under his knife if you disagree...
Excalibur (1981) - the sex scene with Gabriel Byrne in full armor is the first sex scene I ever saw... which really explains a lot...

I don't remember The Explorers but Monster Squad was definitely The Goonies for a more horror-savy demographic of kids. Which reminds me, I need to buy these movies.

The Explorers (1985) is about these kids who build their own spaceship based on plans one of the kids "dream" about, and once in space meet the aliens who planted the "dream" into the kid's mind. If I remember correctly, they use a tilt-a-whirl car for the body of the ship. It was a really fun movie, especially for a kid who was a burgeoning scifi geek (ie: me). It starred Ethan Hawke, River Pheonix, and Jason Presson.

But... back to silly "horror" movies from the 80's... Do you guys remember the Elvira movie? hehehehehe...
