Just wondering if anybody was a fan of this series while growing up?
Yea the first like... 50 were good. After that they went from ridiculous but fun to stupid and pointless.
Oh man, I was so addicted to this book series that even trying to discuss it on this forum would take way too many paragraphs. All I can say about this is that I loved mostly all the books, even the 2000 series and the choose your ending ones. All of them were good. They had fantastic cover art by Tim Jacobus, which has been replaced by some bullshit artist that tries to be creepy.
Attack of the Jack O'Lanterns and The Haunted Mask were some of my favorites.
I used to like the series a lot, and my girlfriend still collects the books. I don't see why it gets such shit today; they're not as badly written as people say, especially not for kids' horror.
I never read these as by the time they were out and popular I was too old for them, but my younger godsister loved them.

I used to read the Three Investigators and they did the 'spook' too. Loved them in elementary school.
I don't remember these being out when I was a kid but the tv show was on when my daughter was younger - seemed pretty popular.
My Kids used to Watch Goosebumps and read the books..
My 2 youngest grandchildren love them. Always wanting to watch them when they come over.
I remember thinking many, many times "and THAT's the ending"?!

don't know if I had any favorites though...
I’ve been a collector of Goosebumps since I learned how to read.... *LOL* Smile

If I am not mistaken, my first one was The Blob That Ate Everyone. I love scary stories (as you know all) . I was also interested in all things eeeweee like goo, flies, insects, bloods, internal organs and fascinated with monsters even in my childhood years!

Goosebumps used to cost only 2.27 US dollars, but now it’s 6.12!
I used to watch this show religiously as a kid. Still own some of the VHS tapes they were on and have a box full of the books.
