With some of my favorite annual events starting soon — Knott's Scary Farm, Disney's Haunted Halloween (where the villains rule until frickin' Christmas!), and The Queen Mary's Haunted Harbor — I can't help but wonder what everyone else will be doing to celebrate our favorite season.
What kind of "haunted attractions" are near where you live? Are they any good? Do you like to go?
Do you decorate the shit out of your house like I do?
Do you costume? You better believe I do!!!
What will you be doing for Halloween itself?
I don't know WHAT I'm going to do this year! I've been invited to San Francisco to check out what those crazy people do for Halloween, but my sibs are all going to a HUGE ren fair that weekend and want me to stick around! DECISIONS! I'm bad at them.
Any crazy cool traditions for celebrating All Hallows Eve? Dance around a bon fire? Sacrifice a virgin? I need to know!!
The most wonderful time of year, should be a national holiday
LOL Preach on, brother!
So, how are you celebrating EB?
I probilly just sit at home, and watch horror movies. Not to many trick or treaters come around, its sort of out of the way where I live. I allways watch a lot of horror movies starting around Oct 15, last year it was all 1980s horror, this year its going to be lots of pre-1980s horror.
Ah-ha! Always good! I usually start my "horror movies only" marathon on the 1st. I don't think I've ever themed it, but this gives me ideas... :Smiley-RubbingHands
Im off work this year....YAY ME!!!! :_FUCKYEAH__by_Mrcra
Its always a freaking horror feast in my house on Halloween... This year Im dressing up as Captain Spaulding and I will scare the holy guacamole out of the kids that knock for treats, and if they cant give me a good reason why they dont like clowns I'm gonna kill their moma's

Lmfao! Perfect!!

I was bummed for not finding work this summer until I realized Halloween was on a weeknight...
aww guess I'll suck it up (stall) for another few months...
that being said
1)there are a BOATLOAD of events on Halloween in Seattle - last year on Halloween night I went to a "think pink" themed drag show and the night before I was at a Journey (and 70's 80's 90's) tribute band
2)I have purchased a Tim Burton Mad Hatter style outfit for the shirt alone (already own the hat) so I can buy a lacey body stocking and go as the "Underland walk of Shame" (geddit?)
But I already have the red wig and costume of Sally for Nightmare Before Christmas (check my profile for pic) for my *couple* outfit
as for Halloween
this year - I don't know!
I'll be free from dawn patrol the day after so I'm going to look through the local paper and see who has what going on...

We don't have that many good haunted attractions but we will be going to the one at Navy Pier. The folks at Universal Studios are putting together a really freaky haunted house where you have to be 18 or older to attend. It's one of those ones where the room changes and where the actors are allowed to touch, push or grab you.
Do you decorate the shit out of your house like I do?
We decorate our place pretty heavily. In fact, last Halloween our downstairs neighbor came up and complained about all the noise. He looked at our apartment and said, "Are you guys like Wiccans or something?" We had a burning pumpkin on our table that was carved like Sam from Trick 'r Treat.
Do you costume? You better believe I do!!!
I haven't worn a Halloween costume since I was 14. I won't be doing any costuming this year because I'm not invited to any parties.
What will you be doing for Halloween itself?
Probably watching Trick 'r Treat, Halloween, Sleepy Hollow and The Thing while drinking spiced pumpkin cider with vodka in it of course. Also, Blue Moon pumpkin ale will be had.
Looks like I'll be dressing up and taking part in a haunted house this year any ideas on what I should dress up ass

The Universal Studios event sounds bad ass. We have Universal Studios out here as well (MAJOR DUH) but I've not heard anything about what they're doing for Halloween. I'll have to check it out.
And I LOVE that you decorate enough to freak out the neighbors. Makes my heart happy. LOL
Man... I dress up just to give out candy some years. Dress up for work. Used to dress up to go to school. Yeah... I dress up every year, regardless. LOL
Mmmm... pumpkin beer...

Sounds like fun, slasher. I'm anti dressing up as a specific character for a haunted houseâthey always seen less frightening to me, for some reason. The more terrifying you can make yourself look just as yourself I always think is the best. *shrug* But what the hell do I know. LOL
Maybe this year I'll go as a videographer, which is pretty much the way I dress up normally. Actually, a perfect fit would if I dress up like a hipster and claim that "shitting in the toilet is so mainstream. I shit on the sidewalk."
I'm going as an Ice Cream Bank Robber.

:yay:not sure how I did THAT but ty for the ego boost
Freddy... PLEASE be a hipster for Halloween! Lmao
Scarecrow... that is clearly what needs to happen. Please take pics. LOL
Carrie... It was definitely the combo of the drag show and "Underland walk of shame" costume. Frickin' classic. We NEED to party sometime.
