A young man armed with a deadly sword, saves a teenage girl named Sarah from a malevolent evil that has begun plaguing a small farmland town, while in search of an ancient necklace that had belonged to Sarah’s Uncle. The two set out to get to Sarah's home safely, running through streets, fields, churches and underground tunnels, while being pursued by hordes of demonic creatures.

Dates are subject to change, but the film is said to be getting a limited theatrical run via Lionsgate in June before hitting DVD sometime in August 2011.

Preivously had an April 22nd 2011 limited theatrical release.

Lionsgate UK will be distributing the film straight-to-DVD.

Filming wrapped in November '08.

Produced by Brian Metcalf, Karoline Kautz and Thomas Ian Nicholas.

Being an FX-driven film, post-production is expected to last until 2010.

This is a an action-horror-fantasy.

Written and directed by FX-artist Brian Metcalf.

sounds interesting
Kinda cool sounding, really. Sounds like a fairy tale.
I dunno. It comes across as a generic video RPG with uniform respawning baddies and bland fetch quests adapted for the screen to me. I'll admit that the premise is "open" enough to be done a number of unique ways, but I've got the lingering feeling that the filmmakers will end up using as little "variation" as possible.
