Though I never had a game system growing up, I have to say I wish classic-style platformers were still a "big thing" today

Saturday Morning Cartoons (it was like a mini celebration of surviving the week, finishes with the Bugs bunny cartoon hour)
trick or treating (though I'm not supposed to, sometimes I can get a few pieces from time to time if the person is really generous or is not really watching the bunch of kids grabbing all at once for the full sized chocolate bars)
