Of all the slasher films made what are your top 6 favs?
So let's grab the machete, a large kitchen-knife or even a chainsaw will do and lets have a slice-'n-dice ol'time...

Hey every1!!! well, believe it or not...I haven't seen enough Slashers 2 make a top 6 lists(again, I have only just began 2 watch horrors). However, so far, slashers r my favourite horror sub-genre...so please!!! Help me out!!! Here's my fav I have see so far:

2)The Texas chainsaw massacre
3)My bloody Valentine
4)Nightmare on Elm street

So...as u can c...I could do better!!! I need some advice!!! have seen others like "I know what u did last summer" trilogy, however, these i liked but not enough 2 make the list, especially counting it has got some gr8 others like F13th!!!!!

Hmm...
Just Before Dawn, it's got a great atmosphere even though it takes a while to "get started," make the sound of whistling terrifying (If you're into gore, search for the uncut version; if you don't care, try and find the 2-disk!)
Keep watching F13 movies
the French film Inside and the Italian film Tenebre (They're not
exactly "slashers", but they do have a single main killer committing several murders)
Valentine is a better-than-average "modern slasher"
Get into the Child's Play series

I'm going w/ pretty much everything unless it is 2 splatter...some gore I don't mind, however, it definitely upsets me when they abuse of that...let's just say I have priorly skipped the "Saw" and "Hostels" sagas 4 that reason(I don't really c the point in the torture n'all)

Well a word of warning then - If you're not up for splatter I'd say steer away from Inside and
maybe Tenebre. The former isn't torture, but it does have blood coming out the wazoo, all over everywhere

Oh man, you need to see Psycho, Halloween, The Prowler, The Burning, Sleepaway Camp and Alien. Good slasher movies.
