So, when it comes to the Sci-Fi/Horror movie mix ups, my all time favorite is Aliens, and a close second is Sunshine. Event Horizon is a pretty good flic too. What's your favorite Sci-Fi/Horror Mush Up?
Predator. if that's considered Sci-Fi.

Good one Friday!
YES. SciFi and horror are a match made in the big-bang.

I wholeheartedly agree about Predator; Too many people say it's a brainless "guy pic" when the combo of the alien's advanced technology, the grandiose score, and the scary, confusing setting makes it a horror classic, hands-down. Say what you will, I also think the sequel easily matches up.

Event Horizon is also amazing, and underrated. I am glad it is getting more attention now. It's not perfect, but coming into it mostly blind, the thing threw my expectations in a hellacious blender: I give it lots of credit for bringing the evil of hell into a setting where things are already overwhelmingly on-edge. damn I wish they could find the rest of the deleted scenes... Sad
Deep Star Six. Creeped me out when it came out. You'll be just as dead if you jump out of a submarine as if you jumped out of a space ship.
I'll admit Event Horizon was good!
I saw Event Horizon years ago and can't really remember it. We may need to see it again, soon.
You should Rose! It is good!
Pitch Black is a good SciFi horror often overshadowed by it's just-SciFi sequel. The atmosphere is great, the monsters are brutal, and the storyline is not average (By which I mean above-average).

Virus is another good one, probably one of my favorites in fact. Not only does Virus have it got the good atmoshere, creepy antagonists and a well-executed storyline, but also a very nice general plot; not something that's really been "done".
