Man, what a great story. It's one of the short stories included in his book "Just After Sunset". It's also the newest story that is featured in the book. What did you think?

Awesome fuckin' story, my favorite from the book. It's an H.P. Lovecraft story, and King and Lovecraft together make sweet sweet music. Bo, ya gotta read some Lovecraft. His books were written in the 1900s and 1910s, and I shit you not, they are still some of the creepiest stories out there. Also, in Neil Gaimans short story collection, Fragile Things, there is a short story called A Portrait in Emerald and it is inspired by crossing Lovecraft and Sherlock Holmes stories. Complete insanity meets complete logic. Kinda neat.

I used to believe in that witchcraft shit.
But to be honest, I think it's all made up in ones head...
Just like those movies that have witches riding on brooms, and doing curses n shit.

I will have to look into that. I'm still looking for a copy of Joe Hill's: Heart Shaped Box. I remember you suggesting that one to me in the chat room.

Heh, no Lovecraft was just a writer, not a magician in any form. His thing was that he invented a whole mythos, which with a group of other writers, created stories that went on and on till this very day.

BTW people, witchcraft can be part of the Wiccan religion, and it's not fake, as say, Jesus is listening to prayers and he'll help ya out. Just peoples beliefs is all. And no I am not Wiccan, though I have a lot of friends that are. I am agnostic, a religion of one that's not a religion. I say I skip the middle man. Mainly religion itself.
