About 10 years ago I was getting used to the idea of the internet (It was around before that, I just didn't use it or own a computer yet) so anyway, I'm learning how online works and all that, and start going into Chat rooms.
Well, one day, this girl was in this room alone, and, learning IRC tricks and Computer Tricks, I did a whois lookup on her. Well, for some reason, Iowa State made the user info not only the State they were in, but, the city, the Campus, the FUCKING ROOM NUMBER AND WHICH MACHINE EXACTLY ON WHICH FLOOR!!!!!
Well, you can't let info like this get wasted, and while I was thinking about it, the Weather Channel was on, and they were talking about they bad wind storms happening in Iowa that day and actually showed THAT city as being hit hard!
Well, I told her where she was and asked how the wind was. She FLIPS the fuck out, and starts freaking and asking how I know where she is. I'm thinking this is a wee bit paranoid, so go with it!
I mean it's common knowledge that your computer, no matter how you're connected, tells the whole world information (In fact I saw an ad on a web site saying my computer was broadcasting my IP and that "hackers" used that to get into it, which is stupid ALL computers HAVE to broadcast an IP and Hackers don't NEED it) so, I started fucking around like so:
Me: Wow someone is paranoid huh? Must suck being all alone!
girl: How do you know I'm alone?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?@#%?$%?
Me: You're in Iowa hahahaha
girl: HOW DO YOU KNOW?????
Me: Well you're ate Iowa State....
Girl: .....!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: On the first floor....
Me: In room number 112
girl: WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? How do you know that!?!?!?!?
Me: Because the noise you hear, isn't the wind....It's my Butcher Knife....
girl: Girl has left room.
I guessed at her being alone because she seemed freaked out. The rest I used the Weather Channel and was bored.
