Of course!

Ad CHUD would be a darling!

Basket Case anyone?

I forgot about House!! That would be really nice! Although, I am on Briggs' side with Basket Case. It sort of would loose it's charm. Nowadays it would be all CGI and not awesome puppets.

If a Basket Case remake would depend on CGI then screw the whole thing! I hate to dismiss anything on principle, but not even Pixar could give an animated Belial the same personality that latex puppet had!

I think that's why cheesy 80s horror flicks should only stay as cheesy 80s horror flicks... only exception is, if that movie could have improved a lot more (ex. C.H.U.D.).

I pledge that if I ever do a remake of Basket Case I will use puppets.

I would like to see a remake of The People Under The Stairs. I think it could be really cool. But it may be too new to remake anytime soon.

Movies you wanna see remade! - FreddysFingers - 01-06-2010

Yeah, a bit too soon. I think that movie is fine the way it is... nobody can act like that mother and father.

Movies you wanna see remade! - Bojangles - 01-07-2010

The People Under The Stairs was amazing! The dad just walks around in some sort of bondage gear while blasting at the walls with a shotgun. Want to hear one of the best lines in the movie? I think it went something like this:

"Yeah, and maybe the President will make me Secretary of pussy." Laughing-satan

HA!!!! That's funny as hell!!!!

I don't think there are enough 'gimps' in the movies. Wink

hahaha yea! Good classic flick!

I think it's time to watch People Under The Stairs again. Soon -- very soon.

Mr. Briggs Inc. Wrote:Topic #2: RP was not as structured as you're likely used to, though it was indubitantly (sic, I just know it ._.) fun Wink . We're definitely due for another one here if you'd like to start anything!

Topic #1:

Puppet Master - It had the potential to be a gothic horror classic... unfortunately, I think it had much too little suspense as well as much too little character development to be a success >.< . My remake would have an even darker "supernatural mystery" feel to it whilst keeping the violence, and definitely keeping the stop-motion effects (PM would NOT be the same without 'em IMO!)

The Funhouse - I recall this one being much darker and more surreal when I saw bits and pieces of it as a child... I'd put in more of the atmosphere (Alive, alive, alive...) plus more plot/suspense in general, take out a lot of "cheeze"

Neon Maniacs - Another one with lotsa potential, at least for something cool and cheezy. I actually got to about 50 pages in a darker and more violent remake I was writing (mostly for kicks)

Alone in the Dark ('80s version) - Good premise, a bit too lightweight...

Hell Night - Another that's a bit too lightweight for it's premise, I'd keep the more unique elements but add more slasher/monster staples (For one things, have all 4 children somehow survive instead of just the males, and give them a larger group to kill)

House - Keep pretty much everything from the original, but amp it up and add more; more monsters, more neighbors, more flashbacks, horror and humor.

Spookies - Add together the best parts of both the original "Twisted Souls" and Spookies, keep the monsters and more but make it more a haunted house deal with a deeper plot (Peter and Meegan are actually searching for Billy, but Duke and his cohorts are looking for their party) instead of just a zany stalk-and-kill

your right puppet master wouldnt be the same without stop motion. But I think if it were to be remade the studio wouldnt want to take the time into doing tha way unless you have a real good fan of the puppet master series dirrect the movie

Movies you wanna see remade! - FreddysFingers - 01-19-2010

I think The Funhouse would be a nice remake. There is a lot of things you can play around with.

Yeah, I know... Stop motion for the puppets is great; more "real" than CGI and more "convincing"
than "sleight of hand"... It would suck if a PM remake was made without that, be a total waste probably; I'd definitely keep it all in but you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone else who would >.<
