Bojangles Wrote:He certainly is. The last news I heard was the same thing Friday heard. Apparently it is going to be remade. Oh, and King has an idea for a sequel to The Shining!

Yeah I read that somewhere a few weeks ago about The Shining Sequel.

I was never really scared of it, but alot of ppl were.

Love Stephen King, read my first king book (the Talisman) when I was seven, been hooked ever since. I've always been a bit freaked of clowns, but I loved It, the book and the movie. "They all float down here"

*shudders*

The horror photographer Joshua Hoffine has a great Pennywise-esqe photo, loved it and was creeped out by it so I had to buy it. :-)

IT - FreddysFingers - 01-20-2010

Yeah, I think it was this movie that really got me scared of clowns. I don't like clown anymore... BUT I do find it funny that Seth Green was in this show.

IT - mrblue - 01-23-2010

i think the remake of IT is gonna be weird like how you re-creat that movie?

IT - Friday The 13th - 01-23-2010

I don't know anybody who can nail the Pennywise character besides Tim Curry. He has the voice and the mannerisms.

True... but there is always room for improvements.

IT - FreddysFingers - 01-26-2010

Just hoping he can thoroughly scare the shit out of me.

IT - mrblue - 01-27-2010

i honestly dont think IT remake will have the same effect on me like the original one

Same; Tim Curry had the voice and I could never replace that memory of watching this when I was little and getting freaked the fuck out. Though the remake may or may not be good, it will remind me of what the original made me feel. As for younger audiences that are new to the book/film, it might give them that effect.

IT - mrblue - 01-27-2010

well yea but you can never find a kid version of seth green XD

IT - Friday The 13th - 01-28-2010

I'm sure they can pull it off...

Rosemary's Baby Wrote:Isn't it amazing how Stephen King manages to take something ordinary and make you look at it a different way. If I'm already feeling creeped out, a storm drain gets to me. We used to play in a large tunnel that ran under the road. Trust me, I wouldn't now. And you're sink drain. Every once in a while, you look in the black little hole and think "We all float down here."

I LOVE how Stephen King can take something mundane like sink drains and make them creepy forever! Have you ever read his short story "The Moving Finger" in Nightmares & Dreamscapes? It's a general theme in his work that stupefies me, and I secretly want to try an incorporate it in my fiction. And I do, late at night, always worry about hearing that small voice at the other end of the drain...

I had to take a step back and breath for a minute when I first saw that he was in it. I was like "Wait... WHAT?!?!?!"

IT - Zach - 02-10-2010

The clown here was creepy (that's for sure), but I thought he had a lot more funny scenes than he did that were creepy...lol...

The library scene cracked me up!! Tim Curry really had fun as that character. "Do you have Prince Albert in a can? Ya do? Well, you better let him out... Owa-Owa Owa-Owa!!"
