Scariest movie you've ever saw and why - Alter_ego - 12-31-2009

mary319 Wrote:The first movie that really got me was the Exorcist, I was about 10 and my mom told me not to watch it, lol well she had gone down to the street to sit with the neighbors, and I decided to watch it anyways, well let's just say I wound up running out of the house and down to sit with my mom LOL

Another one that got me when I was a kid was Freddy, no joke, if I watched those movies, I would dream of him every night for a straight week, and just as he was about to get me I would wake up.....I got over that ,only thing I need to get over is , I hate seeing anything done with eyes, I can't look :eg:

Your The Exorcist story is just about the same as mine Tongue.
Except it was me and my sister and once again our mum told us not to watch it, but we said we were gonna. She was like "well I've warned you", we got as far as the introduction and wimped out. LOL
Watched it a couple years later, totally terrified myself. Then didn't watch it again until a couple months ago and scared myself again. It is the scariest movie I've seen no contest.

Although it did take me a while to sleep properly again after seeing The Grudge. Which I cannot watch alone.

Scared the eff out me when I was little. I wouldn't go downstairs cause of it. I have never seen the movie again since then. I wonder if it'll still scare me.

Scariest Movie? Thats real easy. JAWS. Period. And the music has alot to do with it. I fish and boat all the time, and for years I have loved to trick drunk friends into swimming around at night. Then I blast the JAWS music. The result is terror. You put that music on when somebody is in a swimming pool and they will get scared. The movie just made everybody fear of sharks worse.

The only movie that ever truly freaked me out was Nightmare on Elm St 3--the scene where Freddy has hypodermic needles for fingers. I spent a lot of time in the hospital as a child and have a horrible fear of needles because of my experiences there, so that movie just about did me in.

The scariest movie I have seen, at least recently, would be The Children. I am not sure why but I was tensed up the whole movie. I am sure it helps that I hate kids and they make me uncomfortable anyway. It was a good movie though and I would recommend it.

I know not many r gonna agree w/ me but it is what it is...I'm still only beginning 2 get 2 know the genre but so far...the crazy Southern American family from "The Texas chiansaw massare"(2003) is what has freaked me out the most...it's something personal though, all those creepy people capturing teens in the middel of nowhere and, let's face it...in a killer atmosphere(in teh real meaning of the word)...it gives me the creeps...

Japanese Horrors are the only ones that truely made me look around the room and kind of freak out. Not any one in particular but just in general. Like Reincarnation kind of freaked me out and the first Three Extremes (all three tales in that one were freaky) But if we're talking about American horror I'd have to say none of them really scared me, and when I was 2 I had a Chucky doll and I slept with it, I thought Chucky was great, and I still do, well not the bride of or seed of - funny but not creepy awesome. And I agree Freddy is awesome! As a child I was scared of nothing, now if I see a movie about roaches killing people, I will be scared, because I love gore but I can't help that I have a phobia of roaches. :Confusedhivers:: yuck. I act like a tard when I see one I like runaway crying and screaming haha, I killed one the other day and threw up. I'm retarded. And on that note I will end this long, entry that got completely off topic...

I think it's because The Japanese people make their horror films so relistically looking you wonder if it is real. I LOVED Battle Royal!
