I havnt picked up the remake yet on dvd and I've heard its a little different then the version in theaters is that true?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say yes.
I know there are a few additional scenes. Don't remember what though. I haven't seen The Killer Cut. I'm still disappointed a sequel never materialized.
