Horror Poems... - Rosemary's Baby - 07-15-2009 I thought it would be cool to see what poems people can come up with from horror movies, books, whatever. I know everyone knows this one... 1 2 Freddy's coming for you. 3 4 better lock your door 5 6 get a crucifix 7 8 better stay awake 9 10 never sleep again But, here's another from The Haunting in Connecticut: The famous speaker who no one had heard of said: Ladies and jellyspoons, hobos and tramps, cross-eyed mosquitos and bow-legged ants, I stand before you to sit behind you to tell you something I know nothing about. Next Thursday, which is Good Friday, there's a Mother's Day meeting for fathers only; wear your best clothes if you haven't any. Please come if you can't; if you can, stay at home. Admission is free, pay at the door; pull up a chair and sit on the floor. It makes no difference where you sit, the man in the gallery's sure to spit. The show is over, but before you go, let me tell you a story I don't really know. One bright day in the middle of the night, two dead boys got up to fight. (The blind man went to see fair play; the mute man went to shout "hooray!") Back to back they faced each other, drew their swords and shot each other. A deaf policeman heard the noise, and came and killed the two dead boys. A paralysed donkey passing by kicked the blind man in the eye; knocked him through a nine-inch wall, into a dry ditch and drowned them all. If you don't believe this lie is true, ask the blind man; he saw it too, through a knothole in a wooden brick wall. And the man with no legs walked away. I italized the part actually used in the movie. I thought that was so neat. Now...What can you come up with? Horror Poems... - Dr. Briggs - 07-15-2009 This is a fairly well-known one (You should know where it's from ):Stay away from Pumpkinhead Unless you're tired of living His enemies are mostly dead He's mean and unforgiving Locked doors and windows barred Guard dogs prowling in your yard Won't protect you in your bed Nothing will from Pumpkinhead There are extra verses but this is what was used in the film. Horror Poems... - LokiZee - 07-15-2009 By Mark A Mihalko :zombie:ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE:zombie: Creatures of the night surround us Romero laughs His diabolic vision of despair Of humor and laughter A misleading masterpiece for those willing to understand the genius Strangers unite Fighting a plague of humanity before they fall prey Victims, not innocent, but unforgiven of their sins Their cannibalistic nature striking fear in us all Not because of the sheer terror Or their horrific deeds But, for the primal nature lurking at our core The taste of flesh as sweet as the fruit on the vine The lure, the only difference Or is it? Instead of a snake in the garden We are persuaded by desire Carnal temptations leading us to flesh At the heart, the snake and the pleasures are equal These forbidden dreams considered taboo So misunderstood, that the thought alone often spawns remorse A lingering guilt that creates hatred And yes, these monsters for us to cheer The screens are full of surrealistic views of reality Where the creatures indulge in the carnal feasts we covet Where flesh and blood replace the love and hate we hold on a pedestal In many ways, we are all alike Zombies searching for companionship instead of brains Embracing the taste of our lovers skin during passion For us, our time is here, the day of reckoning is now The Zombie Apocalypse has begun Horror Poems... - Friday The 13th - 07-15-2009 Yo those are pretty awesome guys! you gotta love Horror! :bowow: Horror Poems... - CarolinePar - 07-22-2009 not from a horror film but a childhhod favorite oh rily is dead and oh really don't know it oh really is dead and oh rily don't know it both of these men lying in bed and neither of them cares the other is dead Horror Poems... - Friday The 13th - 07-22-2009 CarolinePar Wrote:not from a horror film but a childhhod favorite I remember that one!
