Haunted Beach House? - Rosemary's Baby - 08-24-2009
[SIZE="3"][COLOR="Cyan"]We had some strange things happen in the beach house we were staying in.
First was this strange rot/infection smell. My first smell was in the kitchen. Then, I smelled it in our bathroom. It was just random whiffs that we never could chase down.
Then, the ceiling light fixture had a plastic light cover that snapped over the florescent fixture. For no apparent reason, it nearly fell & hit my kid on the head. We hadn't been doing anything that would cause it to loosen. And, of all the times for one half of it to fall, my kid was standing under it.
Next, my mom was creeped out the whole time we were there. The kids had bunk beds that they were so excited about sleeping in. After we got there, they did not sleep in them at all. They either slept on the couch or with my mom.
I sat on the front porch to smoke & would think Loki was coming up the front deck stairs. The foot steps were clear as a bell on the wooden stairs. But, no one would be there. That happened a couple of times.
Our dog was with us. He usually prefers to sleep on a thick carpet than in his crate. Or he "runs away from home", which involves pulling his pillow and blanket out of his crate & sleeping in the middle of the floor. He was quite happy in his crate the whole week.
The creepiest for Loki was the night we were leaving. I was outside, smoking. He was packing up our stuff in our room. The room was set up so that a door leads into a small room with a toilet & sink. Straight across was another door that lead to a much larger room with a garden tub, shower stall and dressing area. I came back into the house & he motioned me into the bedroom. The hair on his arms was standing up. He had heard someone walk into the bathtub room and over to the shower (around a corner.)
I'm not saying that the house is definatley haunted, but it was obviously a newly renovated older house. The sway of the place was disconcerting, it was on stilts. But, I can't explain the things that happened. Anytime we discussed the smell, it would appear. Once, we were in a store 5 miles away & I mentioned it & it was there. (No, it wasn't me. If I smelled like that, I'd be dead!)
Anyway, just an interesting story.

Kids are great. My youngest nephew is 20 months old. He's the one I compare to the anti-christ. Plus, his middle name is Kaine. It fits.

Just wait until you have your own. It's great. You don't have to worry about screwing up someone else's kids. Definately wait,though I had mine at 21 while happily married and wished we would have waited a little longer. But, she's worth everything!

Sometimes distane breads new memories. Mom was creeped out the whole time we were there. She stayed with us, or out on the front porch.
