Stephen Kings - Mute (Short Story) (Review) - Friday The 13th - 08-31-2009
This story really surprised me...
I didn't expect the ending or anything! It was GREAT!
Of course I'm sure many of you know, it's like all of his books/movies...
they leave ya hanging! But in a GOOD way!
This is in the same league as N. or Willa! Definitely!
This short story deserves a good reading! Read it lol!
My rating for this Stephen King Masterpiece is! - 8/10! :bowow:
Mute is about a guy named "Monette" who goes to a priest at a Catholic Church to confess his Sins.
At the Church Monette talks to the priest about his wife and her cheating ways.
He also tells the priest about the day when he picked up a homeless man.
The homeless man was mute, and deaf.
He told the preacher that during the ride, he told the mute guy about his wife and her cheating ways.
He had no problem with telling him about her cheating ways, and her spending habits! The guy was Mute & Deaf right?
He also told the "Mute" bum how his wife and her lover embezzled thousands!
During the ride Monette stopped to take a whizz at a near by pit stop, During that time the bum took off.
Monette wondered why he left! Did he steal something? Not really, he told the priest.
He also told the priest that his wife was found murdered, and that a note was left near her body.
