Audition or Ãdishon (Japanese) - Friday The 13th - 12-19-2009 Seven years after the death of his wife, company executive Aoyama is invited to sit in on auditions for an actress. Leafing through the resumés in advance, his eye is caught by Yamazaki Asami, a striking young woman with ballet training. On the day of the audition, she's the last person they see. Aoyama is hooked. He notes her number from her file, calls her and takes her to dinner. He hesitates to call again, worried that he'll seem too eager. When he does, Asami knowingly lets the phone ring for some time before answering. She's alone in her darkened room - alone, that is, apart from the writhing victim she has tied up in a sack on the floor... Audition or Ãdishon (Japanese) - justintfirefly - 04-02-2010 Only recently watched this and I must say, it was a phenomenal film. I'm still new to Asian horror (though I've loved the few I've seen thus far). This film was creepy, disturbing at times and just a lot of fun! My wife and I have had debates over it since we've seen it, and at the risk of serving up some spoilers, where in the movie do you think the actual "real-life" story line ends? Audition or Ãdishon (Japanese) - Bojangles - 05-25-2010 This is next on my list of foreign films to watch. I hope it lives up to the hype! Audition or Ãdishon (Japanese) - FreddysFingers - 05-25-2010 More than half of the movie is a romantic drama with some brutally disturbing scenes and the last act is fucked up beyond compare. Don't go in thinking that it's all that but I hope you enjoy it. Audition or Ãdishon (Japanese) - Bojangles - 05-25-2010 Awesome, man. Now I know what to expect. I hope it's not all long and drug out, like A Tale of Two Sisters. Audition or Ãdishon (Japanese) - FreddysFingers - 05-25-2010 It's somewhat long and dramatic. The Japanese do this to build up character and mood so you'll have to forgive them this once. Audition or Ãdishon (Japanese) - Bojangles - 05-25-2010 Well, I'm definitely going to check it out either way. I'll be sure to post my opinion on it within the next couple days. That is, if I'm lucky enough to be able to sit down and watch it. |
