Return of the Living Dead 1-5 - Trioxin149 - 05-02-2010 Any fans of the films here? Although 4 and 5 were almost unbearable to watch, the original is bad to the bone, the second was fun, and the third is a pretty solid sequel in my opinion. But then again, what franchise DOESN'T have a shitty sequel or two? Anyways, what are everyone's thoughts? Personally, Return of the Living Dead was one of the first horror films I remember watching so I normally credit it to getting me hooked. RIP Dan O'Bannon! Return of the Living Dead 1-5 - mrblue - 05-02-2010 I may have seen one of them not really too sure. Return of the Living Dead 1-5 - Trioxin149 - 05-03-2010 Def check out 1-3, I'm sure you'll like one of them. Fuck 4 and 5. Return of the Living Dead 1-5 - Dr. Briggs - 05-03-2010 Yes, RIP indeed Mr. O'Bannon; definitely too young for such a guy. He helped to make one of my favorite films, his first, Dark Star. ;_; I saw these, though it was a good while back. Part 3 is honestly my favorite; straight-horror usually wins over horror comedy in my book (Exceptions being the Scarecrow and Wrong Turn series, which had btter comedy than serious horror installments ). The first comes in a close second, then part 2... Honestly I thought part 4 was OK for the robo-zombies and the pretty Aimee Lynn Chadwick (survivor! ), and 5 was tolerable in spirit since it kind of followed the raver subculture like the first film followed punks. Overall the last two really were a big dip in quality though, most notably in my mind because the zombies were degraded to the simple "headshot to kill" types (maybe it was a weaker isotope of Trioxin? The number on the stuff was different ).
Return of the Living Dead 1-5 - Trioxin149 - 05-06-2010 Yeah that was one thing I dug always dug about the direction of ROTLD versus other series, the fact that they were pretty much invincible, and they were my first recollection of zombies that RAN, not walked. Of course, everyone later cashed in on that. Return of the Living Dead 1-5 - Lilith - 05-14-2010 I believe i own the first 4. Still need 5 to complete the set. Havent watched 4 yet. But 1 & 2 are the best of this batch, so far, anyway. Cant say anything on 4 & 5 since i havent seen them yet. I barely remember 3 and found it teetering on my patience to stick with it. So i can imagine what the last 2 are gonna do for me. Return of the Living Dead 1-5 - Trioxin149 - 05-15-2010 You otta give three another shot, and see what it does for ya! I may have to, i been aiming to watch 4 and havent gotten to it yet. Its been sooooooooo long since i have seen 3. May have to get em all out and do a marathon! Return of the Living Dead 1-5 - Trioxin149 - 05-16-2010 Sounds like a plan! haha Return of the Living Dead 1-5 - Dedman13 - 07-07-2010 As we all know, I am a huge zombie movie fan, but 4 and 5 are REALLY hard to sit through. 1 and 2 are really good and if you watch 3, make sure it is the uncut one... Return of the Living Dead 1-5 - FreddysFingers - 07-11-2010 I actually really enjoyed the first two. They really did something different with the zombie genre and the only other one that I saw was the sadomasochistic one. I really liked how the first one plays on NOTLD. RIP Dan O'Bannon! |
