Shrooms 3D - mrblue - 08-11-2010 Variety reports that Londons Vertigo Films has added the SHROOMS follow-uwhile the SHROOMS sequel is in the early stages of development as a co-production with Irelandâs Treasure Entertainment, which made the original. In that film, directed by Paddy Breathnach and released Stateside in 2008, a group of friends head into a forest to sample the local magic mushrooms and get caught up in a hallucinatory murder scenario. âNot every film we make will be in 3-D,â Vertigoâs Rupert Preston tells the trade. âBut the younger audiences do expect it now and the format massively enhances the entertainment value. Weâre not jumping on a bandwagon; weâre just looking to push the envelope further.â One project that wonât receive the dimensional enhancement is Vertigoâs upcoming English-language remake of Nicolas Winding Refnâs acclaimed Danish thriller PUSHER.
