You can connect that with camcorders, like a latchkey situation for your child when they return home from school. There is a video clip when they come in. There's also alarm notification, texting and email that we can tell folk when their alarm is turned on.
Home protection systems aren't without their critics. There is about an eighty percent false alarm rate which, some disagree, has led straight to slower reply times from police.
So what can be done if response times by police are in the 5 to ten minute range? Have an alarm system that blares loudly both inside and outside and also goes off within 30 seconds of a breach.
This is intended to frighten off any interloper before they make off with much or anything at all.
One study shows the average loss for a home with an alarm is $2,000 less then one without because burglars have less time to wash out the house.

am I the only one who thinks that we could have a LOT of fun renaming the user names of those found guilty of SPAM?
I suggested already to Bo that we need some kind of three strikes and you're out style tab (opposite of the helpful button, geddit?) - if three members click on it then the post would be removed and there would be a message saying somthing to the effect of "this post has been striked from the forum due to SPAM, TOS volations etc."

Well, clearly you're not the only one. I suggest we go further and modify the offending post to reflect the true jack ass nature of said spammer.
I'd say gay it up a bit, but out of respect for Freddy and his life style, maybe something else that's less than flattering.
