Yes, I am watching. I agree, it is pretty creepy. The show has many elements to it, which only enhances the experience.
Easily, the scariest/creepiest show to hit network tv.
P.S.: The doll scene is a big "WTF" moment.

Agreed, there is a lot going on. The 'ick' factor of jungle existence (bugs, vines, swampy stuff, and bugs) enhances the scare factor of the story in such a way as to keep the viewer jumping. I'm having fun.

I quit watching it after the first two episodes. too damn boring and very flawed as a "found fottage" show.

ABC still hasn't renewed this for a 2nd season, which is not a good sign. Early last month, it was reported that Netflix was interested in maybe picking the show up - possibly signifying it's cancellation. It must have fell through, because there has been no new developments.
So, it looks like we will find out the future of The River during the network upfronts, which are next month. If you read some of the rumors and buzz floating around ... this series will be cancelled.

Thats because 1.) the show fucking sucked and 2.) the ratings weren't very good and kept plummeting each week.
