Question for fans of Stephen Kings Books and Movies - LokiZee - 02-11-2009

Alrighty, it's been awhile since we got a good Stephen King movie. 1408, in my opinion was Okay. If you are a reader of his books, short stories, or articles, what do you think would make a good movie?

I'm going with The Talisman, followed by his new short story "N". If you haven't read "N", it's kinda H.P. Lovecraft with OCD. Seriously.

They've already done a lot of my favorites. Although, The Shining could use a new reincarnation. But, I think a clip movie with the shorts from Just after Sunset would be cool.

Well Cell would easily make a good "zombie" movie. Especially if he got back together with his good old buddy George Romero (which won't happen I know...).

Am I the only one that really dislikes the first Shining movie. I think it completely missed the point of the book.

I agree with both comments. The first movie was just off. Olive Oil as Wendy? I can't imagine a less sexy woman. Jack's internal struggle is glossed over. The twin girls??? And river of blood??? The second one was better, but still not great. The Shining is a really psychological book and it is very difficult to express that in a movie or show. How do you visualize someone's internal struggles? And the utter seperation of a group of people from the external world. Still one of my favorite books.
