MPAA Ratings: A Trio of R-ratings Passed Around - Bojangles - 04-10-2009

Today the MPAA announced that the film has officially been given an R-rating for "disturbing violent content, some sexuality and language." In other news, it looks like Sony is finally looking to release the Spanish masterpiece REC later this year as the film was also rated R for "bloody horror violence and language." Bah, I don't see the huge deal with R-ratings. As long as stuff doesn't get cut, it's fine by me.

I hear REC is supposed to be better than Quarantine. "Tell-Tale" seems just about as faithful as any other Poe adaptation. Orphan could go either way I think, depends on how strange things get when the girl goes into the house.

WOW, I'm shocked they are going to release REC. They were going out of their way doing all kinds of crazy stuff to get Quarantine ready to go before it was released on DVD. I still think the DVD is only available in Canada at this point on DVD too.

REC and Quarantine are almost exactly the same. If I remember right, the ending is different. You learn a bit more, too.
