Farmacy Of Horror on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

I invented Digital Horror Punk to describe the music I make. When I firs started making that, the best idea I had was "It's The Misfits without guitars or any instruments and is all done digitally, so I'll call it DHP".

I make all that on my computers, and though I can play Bass, and real music, I killed my amp and haven't gotten a new one yet.

I actually can. I remembered one night I was trashed and thought it was funny so I tried. I managed to play a whole song with my tongue for strumming. That asshole from Nekromantix does it but he only uses it for the fretboard because he's a bitch, strum with it which actually takes muscle in your mouth.

I should upload some other shit now. It's been a while. I have almost a whole album worth of shit just about Night of the Living Dead, and probably a half album of other shit I did with Zombie movie samples in it.

The Halloween songs I did I do every year for Halloween. When I first started recording music all I had was a shitty PC Mic to record with and I was running Windows back then, so I had to use that fucking Windows Record to make music, and if you have ever used that you know it only allows 60 seconds of recording before it stops on you and makes you do it again. so basically I'd have to use my music making shit to start going, and then, after 60 seconds, I'd have to stop, and then hit Record again to record another minute, so I had to time it where I could put stops into a song every minute and make it sound like it was intentional.

Then I started recording every Halloween with my Cousin, he had a guitar and amp, and I had my Bass and amp, and so we would record, and come up with shit. I still have some of the stuff we made, including me recording some vocals for a cover we did, and it still has the last part of it where we had the cops called on us and me saying "Oh shit" and running and leaving before they showed up.

The recording I do now is way better though. I have a new application that lets me not only use thousands of samples of sounds and FX, but I can record as long as I want, and when I get something going I can add in samples (I spent like 5 hours online looking for Horror movies sound FX and samples) and add those in without having to pause or anything.

So now when I make a song I can do whatever basically. I want to get something that would let me record from my Bass directly into the Computer like bands use, but I don't even know how to start looking for one of those or how much it would probably cost.

When my Cousin would come by and play, I'd make up drums weird. Like, I didn't have a real drum set, so I would use a mix of my keyboard to make drums, and also a trick I made up on a Bass guitar that makes it sound like a drum sometimes. I'd finger mute some of the strings in one spot and Palm Mute another string and strum it with a thicker pick, and sometimes do a finger slap, and if you do it just right it kind of sounds like a drum, so I'd do that for drumming. Now though I have a better program, so I just use actual drum sounds and arrange it and make the beats and then add it where I want which sound and how I want it to sound and how I want it to play (You get a basic sound like a snare drum being hit, so you still have to line it up yourself by hand and play it out like a drum kit but at least it sounds like a real drum)... So that's one of the ways I do drums on those. I can kinda play drums, at least a little, (If I couldn't, it would be pretty hard to make drum beats lol) and I play Bass and some Guitar which is how I can make those sounds up, and also I can play Keyboards a little bit so I can do that too.

How? I mean I would upload some on here but there isn't a way to put anything but pictures and Youtube stuff as far as I know.

If you've ever been to poorbastard.org or whatever, (The people who made the Zombie Girl Pin Up Calendar) they have an MP3 I gave them to play for free, and as a thank you I got a copy of the Zombie Girl Calendar for free. They did a review of my music and gave me good points and said it was some of the best sampling they'd ever heard.

I also got some play on some Horror Radio Shows and I'm buddies with "Fans of Horror Hosts" guys who play some of my stuff from time to time, and I was on a friend's radio shows once, he played my vocals fro a song I wrote on the air which was messed up lol.

And I sent some copies of my MP3s to Tue Morgue, and apparently from what I was told, it was going around in their offices being played all the time because one of the songs was really popular with them. They were ready to do an article about me in their Magazine, but I don't have a record deal, and make the CDs myself and they won't do anything hand made (Probably because they could get sued if someone claimed to make music and really didn't) so I was OK with that.

Also some company who's making an Underground Industrial compilation CD sent me a message saying they wanted to use one of my songs on it and that I would get 50% of whatever my song made on I-Tunes and through Wal-Mart sales and also I'd get 50 copies of the Album and could sell them at any price I wanted and would get to keep 100% of what I sold, + a full page article and bio on me in the booklet that comes in CDs. But they wanted like 1700 dollars up front for production costs which I can't afford, and the fact that I do all this myself, from start to finish, and I do the production myself, mixing, sound control, and I even take the time to make the .WAV file that music comes out as into MP3s of high quality (320 KBPs) and then I make ANOTHER copy at 128 KBPs so I can upload it on Myspace (They have size requirements you have to meet and at 320 KBPs, it's too big). So I do everything myself basically.

I even did the Artwork on a lot of it on Myspace (You can see the artwork by viewing my pictures) and a few were done for me by graphics people.

So basically, I start out with an empty track, and make a beat, and then I start making sounds to make it work, and then I add in special FX, and I even sometimes spend an hour grabbing ONE sample and making sure it's lined up (That part takes a long time because the application I use can suck out a sample of something all the way down to a Millisecond, so it can take an hour to sample a 3 second clip of something) and I do that and line it up, then add in FX and stuff, and then once I'm done I listen to it and see if I like it. If I don't like it I scrap it and change it, and if I do, I check to see if anything else seems like it should be there, and once all that is done, I save the Project file in the application I use, and then I export it as a WAV file with NO quality VBR (Meaning No loss of quality, you can make Variable Bit Ratings where it won't sample as high of the song when ti's at a muted part so the file is smaller, it saves space but I'd rather have it sound good) and then I upload the Project File and the Raw Audio WAV file to my FTP server for back ups, and then make an MP3 myself with an application that turns WAV files into MP3s.

All that does take quite a while, but I've gotten it down to a science that I can do fast, but I like having the control of every aspect of every sound you hear from me.

Some record label exec in Paris France was telling me how "you're so amazing at this! I've never heard someone who can make Electro and Industrial mix together like that!!!" and so I guess if I lived there I'd be signed by now lol.

If I do, I'll be rich. I've made every copy of my albums by hand and did all the mixing, and since I hand drew on the art work and labeled each CD with which one was master copy, first copy, second, and so on, if I got signed, those would be worth a shit load.

Heh, imagine a band that made a demo, and you've got a hand made CD with art work drawn on in sharpie. It would probably be worth a lot.

I figured I'd update this since I've uploaded a bunch of stuff recently. Yesterday I uploaded a brand new song I made yesterday in like 45 minutes called "Living Corpses" which I started and finished yesterday. I also uploaded "Blood" which is another new one.

Any comments are good Wink
