Cloverfield prequal trailer arriving soon?

There's been much online buzz about a certain trailer arriving with prints of Iron Man 2. J.J. Abrams is said to have created the trailer. But what film is the trailer for?Well, it's for something Abrams himself is not directing. Rather, he's going to let someone else sit at the helm. Drew at HitFix.com speculates what we'll see is a teaser trailer for Super 8 which may or may not be related to Cloverfield, which Abrams produced.Vulture is now reporting: Insiders familiar with the trailer tell us that it shows a bunch of kids who are shooting a movie with a Super 8 camera in the seventies or eighties. When they develop the film, they notice that there's an alien creature in the frame. Funny that you mentioned that because that's exactly what might happen. If you followed the viral marketing as closely as I did you'll find out that the Cloverfield monster attacked a drilling station (Chuai Station) before it made it's appearance in New York.

There is a whole story surrounding T.I.D.O. wave and two characters known as Jamie and Teddy. Although I do not care for a prequel, if done correctly, it could be good.

Well sorry to burts your bubble Freddyfingers but jj abrams is reporting today that the secret trailer has "nothing" to do with cloverfield. In my opinion he could be covering it up now that ppl have already guessed what its going to be.

If its about kids using a camera and record footage of aliens I'd honestly assume its related to cloverfield and if its based in the 70s/80s it has to be a prequal of some sort. Or could be just something new and orginal from him.

No there wasn't. I think it was a rumor and wasn't really confirmed, however some sites have the trailer because it was leaked. Honestly, since it is a Spielberg and Abrams collaboration... I think it's the long awaited 'Area 51' project that Oren Peli (Director of Paranormal Activity) was going to do.
