LokiZeeUpdated>Dexter: Season 4. I'm the blood guy........
#1
It WAS September 27, the day that I finally got to feel the love of a knife sinking into bad guy flesh once more. It's the season premiere of Dexter.

If you have never had the pleasure of watching the Showtime series Dexter, do me and yourself a GREAT favor and go out right this minute and buy season 1 and 2 on DVD. You will in NO WAY REGRET IT!
The series is based on the books by Jeff Lindsay, and I must say the books are excellent also.
The show is about a man who is indeed a serial killer, though with a twist. When he was a child, he was adopted by a detective in the Miami police department. His adopted father, Harry Morgan, noticed that his adopted son was doing things normal little boys shouldn't do, like killing animals and wanting to kill people without a guilty thought in his head. So instead of getting little Dexter psychiatric help, he taught him how to kill people and get away with it. Sounds like a bad move on dads part, but he taught Dexter that the best way to pick a victim who won't draw attention to him is to kill "BAD" people that no one would be sad about dying. These victims also must be proven by Dexter to be guilty beyond a doubt. These are just a few of what Dexter refers to the "Code of Harry".
Okay, that in no way sums up the series, but gives you a small taste of Dexter.

Now, watch Season 1,2,and 3..........

Done? Good! Damn good show isn't it?

Okay now Season 4....

I was worried that season 4 was going to be where the show Dexter "Jumped the Shark", but I was happy and mildly surprised that this wasn't the case. Dexter is now married and has an infant son and 2 step-children. It make perfect sense for the character of Dexter because it helps him "Blend In" with the rest of society.

More later my bloody friends.............

We started out with a high level of anticipation about the new season. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if we, or they, have faltered. It's a little harder to get into it when you're not sure if Dexter will be able to get a new victim. Or if the baby is going to ruin things again. Rita should be on his list as the next victim. Maybe I'll feel differently when we catch back up. We haven't watched the last 2 and aren't super excited to do so.
