Boston, MA (AHN) -- Three middle school students have been summoned to appear in court for allegedly trying to poison their teacher.
Waltham police said three male students, one 12 years old and two 13 years old, of John W. McDevitt Middle School poured cleaning solution in the water bottle of one of their teachers. The teacher did not drink the water because she could smell a strong odor coming from inside the bottle. Once police arrived, the teacher told officers her water bottle had been tampered with.
It is unclear exactly what chemical or chemicals the students poured in the water or how much they poured in.
The students face one count each of attempted poisoning.
