 freddy vs jason

So I jus watched it again and then the ending came and I relized after it how we do know that when jason walked out of the lake it wasn't jus a dream or something cuz freddy blinks so there's no real way to determine if the movie was real or jus a dream

I think it was just a way to end it without pissing off fans on either side. Jason won the battle, but when Freddy winks it shows that the war is far from over. Either way, I'm not a fan of FvJ.
