My hopes range from "epically high" to "Freddy's Dead"; one one hand we have what seems to be excellent cinematography, a confident tone, and a promising new plotline... but on the other hand we have a few AWESOME plotpoints confirmed to be DEAD in the water (Apparently NOTHING new with Amanda so we won't know the full story behind the rigged traps, and Samantha Lemole won't return as Pamela) plus the fear that this one will be restrained by the 3D hype-format and a ridiculous runtime restriction like part V.
âThe Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audienceâs deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... Iâd better stop before I give myself nightmaresâ

Briggs, I might have to agree with you on the cinematography part.
