[COLOR="Cyan"]I'm just curious, but does anyone else's family have ghost stories that are passed down through the years? I grew up hearing about various "ghosts" that have haunted my family. They also told stories about the Brown Mountain lights, first hand accounts.
So, does anyone else's grandparents like to scare the shit out of the grand kids, or was it just mine?

Well I've had some of my own personal experiences, but the only family stories I have been told were from books n such.

Maybe it's because my family is from the Appalachian mountains. There is a very strong story telling tradition there. There was a story I was told about a motorcycle that would go back & forth on my great-grandmother's back porch. The Brown Mountain lights, which are in any NC ghost story book. My grandmother loved to tell us Blue-eyes & Bloody Bones. It's in a lot of books. It would freak us out because we didn't have a fireplace in our house, but grandma's house did. It was great fun for a 5 year old.
