I have to say, out of all the shows Loki & I look forward to watching, True Blood is the best. It airs on HBO, so there's a lot of good gore. The story line is excellent, the characters memorable and the acting at least par. Anna Paquin plays Sookie Stackhouse, a waitress in Bon Temps, LA, that happens to be able to read minds. The vampires are out of the coffin and there are several other types of supernatural creatures that populate the country. Bon Temps finally gets it's own vampire, Bill, who is referred to as, wait for it, Vampire Bill.
The accents in the first few episodes are thick enough to walk on. They level out as the series goes on. It is now at the end of the 2nd season. If anyone has read the series by Charlaine Harris, they will love the show. Loki enjoyed the show, then liked the books.
The 2nd Season Finale airs this Sunday at 9p.m. Worth a watch.

Yes, I concur. Hell, anything with bloody vamp sex is cool! And it's funny as hell too!

I am glad to hear that season two is coming to an end so that I can begin to watch the series. I hate having to wait a week for the next installment in the story so I will wait for the season to end and watch the whole series from the start non stop. Everyone I know that is into vampires raves about this series so I am sure it is worth the watch. Also I did see a few minutes of one episode and Anna Paquin was pulling her titties out and I knew from there that I was interested......lol

A lot of shows, we can kinda sneak and watch with our Kid in the room. Kid's rarely paying attention anyway. This is NOT one of them. Sunday nights, Kid's in bed at 8:45. There is sex all in it. Yes, you see a lot. No male frontal nudity, but who really wants to see that flopping around the screen? Part of the excitement is the anticipation. I love looking forward to watching it weekly. I just get a little pissed when they skip a week, like last week. We had to wait 2 weeks for the finale.:reddisgust:

I hate it. I understand when they have a holiday, so they take a break. I know that it has been shot already. Why wait?

I have to say that I'm slightly disappointed in the season finale of True Blood. I'm not sure what left me unsatisfied, but I am. Charlaine Harris is supposed to be in there somewhere. We didn't spot her, but saw her name in the credits. Not a horrible ending. Just a little lacking.

I couldn't get into the show, unfortunately (the wife loved it). I did try.
But the opening theme song, "Bad Things," is one of the coolest tunes I've heard in a while (and I don't even like country) . . . for that matter, the whole opening credit sequence is one of my favorites of all time. Love the Southern tone.
I wish the show had hooked me!

I wish that Season 2 would come on DVD. I bought Season 1 and I was stuck on it and watched it for two weekends to finish it.
