Rec. was much better, but this time the sequel Rec. 2 Will be mainly about the Police/Swat moving in to the building. And Quarantine 2 Is not going to be a remake of Rec. 2, but It will also be about them moving into the apartments. So there you go.
Rec. = 8/10
Quarantine = 7.3/10

I have not seen Rec but I did see Quarantine. Honestly, I loved Quarantine only because of what it stood for, for me and my friends. It was the first movie that we saw with my friends when we went off to college and ever since then... we had many crazy movie nights. Seems stupid, but it's sentimental value for me. I am sure Rec is way better.

The funny thing is... Quarantine was greenlit before REC was even released so Quarantine was a remake, but it didn't really have any visual material to base the movie off of, just the idea.

REC. was just better.
I can't think of anything I didn't like better, The ending, Actors, Quarantine had Too much blood. and coming from me that means something.

Quarantine was a poor sad shadow of [REC]. I think what really makes [REC] stand head and shoulders above the remake is that it really sells the illusion of being found footage. In contrast, Quarantine just felt too fake in comparison. One movie presented me with realistic horror while the other gave yet another Hollywood horror remake that was all flash and no substance.
Just my 2¢.
