I dont know much about this one and havent taken the time to look into it....is this supposed to be a remake of the original? Or a sequel maybe? I have the original old Piranha in the big clamshell case and part 2.

It's a modern day adaption of it, so yeah a remake. Alexandre Aja did it, and I like most of his work, I dug The Hills Have Eyes remake, I liked High Tension, and loved P2 (even though he didn't direct). Mirrors was a BIG let down for me, so hopefully he'll rebound with this and hold on to being probably the best director in the "Splat Pack." Because Eli roth, well he just fucking sucks. Minus Cabin Fever.

Am I the only one that hates CGI that fucking much? It just looks like a cartoon to me. The original was OKAY, in my opinion.

No. I'll leave that one to you. CGI to me belongs in shit like cartoons. At least then I know they're not trying to pretend it's real. However, when they use CGI compared to real things, it looks particularly worse. Scroll up and watch that youtube video. Notice how fucking stupid those fish look compared to the actress?

I just watched the trailer again. Look how fucking ridiculous the fish looked when they poured it into the tank. What in the FUCK? That goddamn fish screensaver you used to be able to download for your computer had better CGI.

Better get used to it, I have a feeling one day it'll all be in CGI :reddisgust:

I know. That's why I'm dreading the JAWS remake which is inevitably going to happen.

I'm with Bo about CG. Praying that horror isn't all 3D FX in the future, unless they can somehow actually make it look honest.
And no, I'm not really interested in the Pirhana remake myself. Doesn't seem all that scary at all.
âThe Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audienceâs deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... Iâd better stop before I give myself nightmaresâ

Not all bout this new 3-D CG Hype as of late...hope it will die down soon cuz it's down right trendy...what's next? Chucky in 3-D?? Uh-Oh?? You heard anything?!?! ugh....

I actually think the Pirahnas look scary... I mean I hate CGI but still...
